Thanksgiving Vase for the Fireplace Mantel

Turn a plain metal vase into a striking piece for your mantel this Thanksgiving. Turquoise and copper are two exciting colors this fall and Testors® Spray Paint has you covered.

TIP: Always allow paint and glues to dry completely before moving to the next step.

Step 1
Wash the metal vase with soap and water. Dry completely.

Step 2
Place the plastic drop cloth over the work surface and place on the vinyl craft gloves.

Step 3
Shake the can of Testors® Turquoise glossy spray paint and apply the paint to the top of the metal vase.

Step 4
Some of the paint will be applied on the top inside of the vase.

Step 5
Apply the Testors® Turquoise glossy paint on to the metallic jewelry pendant. Let the paint dry on the vase and the pendant.

Step 6
Shake the can of Testors® Antique Copper metallic spray paint and apply the paint to the bottom portion of the metal vase. Let the paint dry.

Step 7
Shake the can of Testors® Smokey Beige glossy spray paint and carefully apply the paint to the center of the metal vase. Let the paint dry.

Step 8
Wrap jute twine around the top half of the metal vase and then slip the spray-painted metal jewelry pendant onto the jute twine and then tie ends of the jute twine in the back of the vase. Cut the jute twine ends close to the knot at the back of the vase.

Step 9
Add flowers to the vase and style on your mantel.
